The debut of Be Traced in Cortina to support the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti

Be Traced is the new Race Partner of the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti that will take place from 14th to 17th July 2022

Brescia, 7th July 2022 – After the Coppa delle Alpi and the Coppa Milano Sanremo, the engines begin to warm up for the 2022 edition of the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti, the third calendar appointment of the Campionato Italiano Grandi Eventi promoted by ACI Sport, which will be followed by the Grand Premio Nuvolari and the Targa Florio Classica.

Organized by the Automobile Club di Belluno and the Automobile Club d’Italia, with the collaboration of the ACI Storico Club and ACI Sport, it is a classic regularity race to which, historically, cars produced up to 1971 are admitted. In 2020 they where then introduced two other classifications: the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti Legend, for cars produced from 1972 to 1990 and the Tributo Coppa d’Oro, reserved for drivers of road Gran Turismo cars built from 1991 onwards.

Cortina d'Ampezzo, the “Queen of the Dolomites” will be the place where the technical and sporting checks will take place and from which the race will start on Friday 15th July for the over 70 crews, coming from 10 different nations including Belgium, Germany, Greece, England, Holland and countries outside the European borders such as Japan.

A 440-kilometer race track that includes 94 timed and 7 average tests. Accompanying the participants along a unique path, immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of the Dolomites, there will be for the first time the tracking service provided by Be Traced which will make more efficient and safer the event and the management of moving vehicles during the race days.

Each car will be equipped with a GPS device able to transmit its position second by second to the telematic platform and to acquire relevant data relating to the state of progress: direction, speed, historical of the travelled routes and passage times on average trials stretches.

The advantages for all the involved subjects are significant:

  • the organizers and the Race Direction will be able to view the route and the important points on the map, such as stamp checks and time checks, view where the crews and their staff are precisely, check for any deviations from the route or speed excess, receive notifications about abnormal and unexpected events

  • crews will be able to report any unforeseen events or requests for assistance by pressing the specific button on the device

  • the public and enthusiasts will be able to access the public interface of the telematic platform to follow the race, from any device
